About Our Apostle
James W. Byrd was born July 29th in Melbourne, Florida. He is the second oldest of five children and a third-generation minister of the Gospel. At the tender age of five he began singing and directing community choirs. Born to a rich family heritage of worshippers, Apostle Byrd is infused with the gift of song and the grace to teach the Word of God! His prophetic yet practical approach to disseminating the Word of God is coupled with an undeniable psalmist anointing to usher in the presence of The Lord. This distinction has caused his ministry to be highly sought after throughout the United States and around the world.
He is a man of God dedicated to his family, as he is the devoted husband of Lady Taj Raquel Byrd, and the father of five brilliant, beautiful, and talented children: Tiaj, Semaj’, Alaya, Jazzielle, and Dominic….
As a minister of the gospel, recording artist, and song writer, Apostle Byrd has traveled extensively as a conference speaker, workshops facilitator, guest revivalist, and music director. His artistry speaks for itself as he has produced several projects, independent and collaborative. His personal discography includes the 2006 release of "Starting Over" his most popular 2009 release of "The Psalm of James" which features the hit song "God Is Able" the 2015 release of "In the Key of Worship" a full length piano instrumental, and his most recent Single entitled: “JESUS” earned him a prestigious Gospel Music award nomination and win as “Male Artist of The Year” 2020.
Apostle Byrd is the founder and CEO of JAMES W. BYRD LLC, the umbrella to his philanthropic Systems of Service: R.O.A.R (Reach Out and Restore), a Community Impact Agency for economic empowerment and civic engagement; BYRD & CO. Consulting, HummingBYRD PRODUCTIONS, and several others. Published author is also among his list of accomplishments. His book entitled "Conquering The Enemy Called ME" is receiving rave reviews as he is preparing to release his second entitled: "PROTOCOL... Responsible Ministry and Life Etiquette: A Missive for the Millennial Preacher and Beyond.”
Apostle Byrd is a graduate of Jacksonville Theological Seminary, where he earned a Bachelor of Religious Arts Degree in Theology. While serving diligently as the Founder and Lead Pastor of Kingdom Culture Church International, located in Palm Bay, Florida, he is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity from Morehouse School of Religion at the Interdenominational Theological Center.
Apostle Byrd is the Establishmentarian of the Kingdom Culture Collective, a Global Body of Believers committed to Serving and Advancing the Kingdom of God in the earth!
